Welcome to Southampton Art Society
Hello!
We are a friendly, local group, bringing together amateur and professional artists for demonstrations, lectures, workshops and social evenings in Taunton's College.
The Southampton Art Society was founded in
1885 "to further the interests of artists in the
Southampton area and to provide opportunities
for them to exhibit their work". No longer
restricted to artists, it is now open to anyone
interested in art - to see more about our members and a brief history of SAS , click here
We meet in Room 403 on the ground floor, Richard Taunton College, Hill Lane, Southampton SO15 5RL, on the third Monday of each month from 7.30 pm. This is a ground floor room and wheelchair accessible.
We run a yearly programme of workshops, exhibitions, lectures and often exhibit at local craft fayres. Use the menus above to find out more about us, see the programmes and catch up on our news.
Reciprocal Membership Scheme : The society is registered as a member of the scheme which entitles members to attend meetings, events and workshops (subject to available places) of other participating groups. To access information on member groups contact http://artclubshare.weebly.com
